Dua is the daughter of Albanian immigrants.

“My existence is form of political, the truth that I lived in London as a result of my dad and mom left from the conflict, I really feel for individuals who have to depart their dwelling.

From my expertise of being in Kosovo and understanding what conflict does, nobody actually needs to depart their dwelling. They do it for defense, to save lots of their household, to take care of the folks round them, that form of factor, for a greater life. So I really feel near it.”

In October, Lipa was one amongst many celebrities who signed an open letter to US President Joe Biden urging for a ceasefire.

“My emotions on displaced folks [are] very actual and uncooked, and it’s a troublesome topic to talk about as a result of it’s so divisive.

In the intervening time, what we’ve got to have a look at is what number of lives have been misplaced in Gaza, and the harmless civilians, and the lives which are simply being misplaced.

There are simply not sufficient world leaders which are taking a stand and talking up concerning the humanitarian disaster that’s occurring, the humanitarian cease-fire that has to occur.”

Her sentiments come days after South Africa introduced its case towards Israel on the Worldwide Courtroom of Justice (ICJ).
