World Marathon record holder Kelvin Kiptum and his coach, Garvais Hakizimana from Rwanda, lost their lives in a devastating road accident along the Elgeyo Marakwet-Ravine road. The incident, which occurred at 11 p.m. on Sunday, has sent shockwaves through the sports community, leaving many in disbelief.

Kiptum was driving a Toyota Premio with two passengers on board, including his coach Garvais and a lady identified as Sharon Kosgey.
