Azimio la Umoja lawmakers, by means of Nationwide Meeting Minority Chief Opiyo Wandayi, have requested Speaker Moses Wetang’ula for a refund of their January 2024 Housing Levy deductions.

This follows a ruling by the Courtroom of Enchantment declaring the levy, whose proceeds are channeled in direction of the development of reasonably priced homes,  as unconstitutional.

Nation understands every lawmaker pays Sh19000, which is the equal of 1.5% every month.

By the way, Mr Wetangula has moved to the Supreme Courtroom to problem the Courtroom of Enchantment ruling
