Renowned political commentator and former Amani National Congress (ANC) Secretary General, Barrack Muluka, has launched scathing criticism against President William Ruto’s administration, labeling it as a “gangster and rogue regime.”
Barrack Muluka: It is a rogue regime, and it should be called what it is. Today, we can only term this as a gangster regime. Nobody spends ten million earned shillings on a watch; it must be stolen resources. Government by the worst elements of society is possible.#Morningprime… pic.twitter.com/TkQnGa5UxU

In a candid interview on KTN News, Muluka accused the government of rampant corruption, alleging misappropriation of public funds for extravagant purchases such as expensive watches and office furniture.
Describing the administration as “rogue” and “gangster,” Muluka pointed to instances where exorbitant amounts were reportedly spent on luxury items, raising suspicions of embezzlement. He questioned the legitimacy of spending millions on individual items like watches, suggesting that such funds must have been illicitly obtained.

Muluka didn’t mince his words in condemning the government’s involvement in the sale of counterfeit fertilizers to unsuspecting farmers. He argued that the failure to prosecute those responsible for such malpractices indicates systemic corruption within the administration.
Expressing dismay at the lack of accountability, Muluka urged for swift action to hold perpetrators accountable. He criticized the government’s inaction in addressing the issue, implying complicity in the fraudulent activities.

Furthermore, Muluka asserted that the electorate bears responsibility for the government they ushered into power, suggesting that they owe the nation an apology for their role in enabling what he perceives as a dysfunctional regime.
Muluka’s outspoken critique sheds light on growing discontent and disillusionment with the current state of governance in Kenya. His remarks underscore the urgent need for transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership in the country’s political landscape.
As public scrutiny intensifies, Muluka’s bold statements serve as a rallying cry for citizens to demand accountability and uphold democratic principles, fostering a culture of integrity and good governance.
