Kenya has handed over the chairmanship of the Japanese Africa Standby Power (EASF) to the Republic of Rwanda.
Outgoing chairman and Defence Cupboard Secretary Adan Duale has known as on the incoming management to take inventory of the mutating challenges dealing with the regional pressure and unite in in search of correct options whilst he exits the stage.
“It’s crucial that we take inventory of the mutating world crises and their potential impression on our area in order that we are able to collectively, discover acceptable measures to mitigate the related challenges,” Duale said.
Duale additional expressed gratitude to the Member States for the help and collaboration throughout Kenya’s tenure as Chair of EASF.
His counterpart and Rwanda Defence Minister Honorable Juvenal Marizamunda congratulated Duale for his management which he says was characterised by vital strides within the achievements of the forces’ mandate .
He pledged to comply with within the footsteps of his predecessor and work along with the secretariat to drive the pressure ahead.
